Cryséde linen jacket, 1920s-1930s

‘Hand block-printed linen jacket, with Zennor design and homemade construction. Long sleeves, patch pockets and two plastic buttons for centre fastening. Design on natural ground, blue village motifs, made by Cryséde Ltd, St Ives. This jacket was exhibited in the South Bank Centre, London, 1993. ‘This design was included in the Independent Gallery 1925 and featured in Frank Rutter’s article on Walker in Studio Magazine, 1928. It was a popular design which continued in production for many years.’
