Hand-block printed linen jacket in an unknown design, similar to Welsh Hill. Natural ground, printed with design of landscape of cottages and trees in salmon pink, brown, blue and green. Flared cut with high neck, fastened with three wooden buttons, and two patch pockets. There is a patch on one sleeve. Cryséde label sewn inside, ‘Pure Silk Manufacturers, made by Cryséde Ltd., St.Ives’.

Manufactured by Cryséde Ltd. The donor’s mother owned this jacket. She had lived in Welwyn Garden City from 1929-1934, where Tom Heron set up his silk company, Cresta Silks, after leaving Cryséde in 1929. She then moved to Lelant, Cornwall from May 1940.
